A while back we had a compition for body painting, we had a range of themes to choose from, i choose earth and my design plan was to paint the whole body in flowers use props for the hair. I also made a mood board to show the judges what my finish look would be like. On the day i felt i done well and used up all my time, my modle enjoyed herself alough the amount of glitter i used would have been impossible to get off. i learn alot from the experience aswell as having fun doing it, i dont think i could have emproved anything more i was very please with my finished result.

pogression project!x

To progress on to HNC we had a progression project which we had made a portfolio full of designs and picked out one which we particuarly liked, planned makeup outfits and hair styles to do on the day. I done a summer/colour mission theme which i used two modles for, i planned for them to wear bikinnis and have props such as a beach ball and a straw hat. I had very colourfull eyes and big hair to complete my look. on the day i felt it went well alough i could have planned a good bit more and if i could go back i'd maybe change my design and theme.

At home i also do hair makeup nails and fake tan for weddings proms partys or simply just a night out. This is a good way of building up your kit and gaining good experience of working on your own, You also get good feed back. Ive done makeups so far for weddings, themed nights out such as back in the 80's , an end of school prom and also hair and makeups for birthday occasions. This is a good way of starting of on your own and getting more confident.

Panto!x

At christmas time the drama students at james watt college were doing a pantomime, our class done makeups such as panto dames, aladdin, genies ect.. me and nicola had the villian's makeup to do. Before the panto we got some time to make a plan in our group and decide which days the 3 of us would do this also gained more experience of working well with others and as a team/group, on the day our plan was that we would use a white base to make him look pale and use a sort of ageing technique to make his face look thin and scary, he was pleases with the outcome. We also had some straight make to do for some male characters who may have just had a simple part. The day was fun and i felt i gained alot from it and more confidence.
